Boston’s newest supermarket opens its doors

The first member of a planned new supermarket chain, mint, is opening its doors at the Boston Shopping Park in Lincolnshire on May 27th.
mint is set to open opposite the former Morrisons premises off Horncastle Road. A special recruitment day was due to take place at Fydell House on South Street, Boston to allow workers to apply for new jobs being created.
Operations Manager David Lambert said: “This company has big ambitions and we’re delighted to open the first of a planned chain of stores across the UK in Boston.”
The supermarket will be stocking alternative affordable products alongside brand favourites, he added, and there will be a focus on keeping it local.
“mint is a new concept in supermarkets, offering a British aesthetic and high-quality branded products at an affordable price,” said David, adding: “Fresh local produce will also be one of our strong points: at mint you’ll be able to buy high-quality local cheese, meat, bread, fruit, vegetables and dairy produce.”
It will open alongside national stores such as TK Maxx, Sports Direct, Iceland and Poundworld.
