The future of international packaging and logistics industries are to be put in the spotlight at a forthcoming event in Dortmund, Germany, when experts from across the two sectors will gather to discuss industry challenges around global packaging development, standards and practice, management and logistics.
The event, ‘Industry Meets Research’ will be held on May 15th at the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics, Dortmund, Germany.
Hosted by the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics, the educational and networking event will include presentations from Marcel Ströhmer, Hella GmbH & Co., Stephan Schreib, SCUS, Philipp Wrycza, Fraunhofer Institute IML and A. J. Gruber, ISTA
ISTA President, A.J. Gruber, said: “Packaging has always been important, but it’s potentially never been more visible than it is today. It’s increasingly shaping customer opinions and influencing purchasing.

Guests at the event will be invited to attend a special tour of the Fraunhofer Institute Facility and the IKEA Distribution Centre in Dortmund-Ellinghausen.
