Pro2Pac 2017 offers fresh concepts

Pro2Pac, the UK’s only dedicated food and drink packaging event, will aim to deliver brand inspiration and thought-provoking debates when it returns to ExCeL London, this March.
Together with Waste-Works, the only waste and sustainability event dedicated to the food and drink industry, Pro2Pac will run alongside IFE, the UK’s largest and most important food and drink trade event.
The three exhibitions will give visitors a ‘Farm to Fork to Fertiliser and Fuel’ perspective, as well as the opportunity to discover innovative new packaging technology and ideas from leading name exhibitors which will drive and inspire food packaging concepts in 2017.
Event Manager Nick Piper said: “At a time when issues such as sustainability, food safety and food waste are all under the spotlight, Pro2Pac and Waste-Works provide a unique forum for visitors to see and experience new products, innovations and solutions all under one roof.”
Featuring 120 exhibitors, including global names such as Tetra Pak, Coveris, Rapid Action Packaging, Henkelman UK and Sudpack UK Ltd, Pro2Pac 2017 has been attracting increased international representation, with exhibitors coming from Turkey, China, Russia, Sweden, Kuwait, Poland and Lithuania.
Key experts and high-profile speakers will provide opportunities for debate and discussion at the three-day event, from the ‘Outside the Box’ stage built entirely of recyclable cardboard.
Speakers include Philip Cooper of Heuft talking about the latest technologies in the largest brands of the food and beverage sectors and how automation can help your business. Jonny Macneal from Insignia Technologies will be focusing on the advances in smart packaging and how it can be cost effective for the Food Supply Chain, and David McGowan, Innovation Realisation Director at PI Global will be sharing implementation secrets for fast to market and discussing consumer focus and driving successful innovation.

Innovation and new technology
These bite-sized talks and ‘industry insight’ briefings will run throughout the event, while the daily lunchtime debates will see a number of experts share their views on a wide range of topics.

Global packaging manufacturer Coveris (Stand N950) will be showcasing its latest label technology – advanced linerless label printing – which was developed for the launch of Aldi’s new high profile steak range, and UK and Europe’s biggest selling brand of vacuum packers Henkelman (Stand N810) will be showcasing its range; from small table top to large double chamber models, including the most popular model sold in the UK – the Jumbo 42.
