Description
Analytical Sciences is a department of Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing Sciences-Analytical Development (PDMS-AD). The department is responsible for:
• Focused analytical base business support for the Small Molecule (SM) and Large
Molecule (LM) R&D and Manufacturing product portfolio
• Development and implementation of new and innovative Analytical Technology
Platforms for Large and Small Molecules
• Global Investigation Labs for Small Molecules and Devices
• Analytical Centres of Excellence in:
• Microbiology, elemental analysis, cleaning validation, excipients, packaging,
device, particulate matter, NMR & MS and synchrotron powder diffraction.
• External Technologies

Scientist/Senior Scientist
Your Function:
• Design, lead and perform analytical scientific experiments
• Apply state-of–the art analytical scientific knowledge to ensure high quality of the
delivered results
• Work in a multidisciplinary team of researchers and show willingness to
learn/explore new techniques
• Act quickly, lead and provide expertise and solutions for investigations on
commercial products
• Support scientifically projects from early to late development phase with
emphasis on excipients and packaging
• Develop test methods and write scientific reports
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, GMP and safety.
• Stay up to date with the scientific literature.
• Initiate and follow up collaboration with external partners and universities

Qualifications
• Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Chemistry (analytical/organic), Pharmacy or a related
science/engineering field or minimum 5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical
Industry
• Good knowledge and prior experience in one of the following scientific area:
chromatography; polymers sciences; microscopy/spectroscopy; rheology;
packaging testing, particle characterization and identification; ICP MS is required
• Ensure high scientific quality standards for experiments and take on responsibility
for these experiments.
